Bisento

In the Kukishinden Happo Bikenjutsu school there is a special type of Naginata. This is the Bisento. It was adopted from the Chinese Kwan Dao. It is a single edged weapon with a large “eyebrow” shaped blade, it is rather heavy to hold in one’s hands. Instead, making use of the fact that it is heavy, it is employed in combat for cracking the opponent’s helmet, splitting heavy armor, and was used as an antt-calvary weapon. It is a powerful weapon that can easily break an enemy’s sword or take down a horse.
